Dwelling Place

Graduation is coming! It's time for diplomas, gowns, and parties. In a few short months, I'll be off to college. Away from home, family, and the people that I have grown close to. It can be overwhelming to think about. I often hear people say, "You're going to be away from home for a while!" The people that say these things are both right and wrong.

I will be away from my physical home. My family and friends. However, I will continue to abide in my spiritual home. God is my permanent dwelling place. He is where I move and live and have my being. I can't really put it into words....you have to experience it. I'm not just talking about a feeling. I'm talking about a friend that sticks closer than a brother- Jesus Christ. If you feel you aren't good enough to do the Christian thing, or you feel like a "washed up" Christian, I have a word of encouragement! I once heard a song that says, "Any where is home if Christ my Lord is there." There is not a truer statement.....
